Essentials is the company that develops all natural beauty products using
the traditional recipes passed down over generations of pioneering Australian
women. These divine scrubs and moisturisers are produced using pure Australian
100% natural products. Founded by Pauline Clarke in May 2005, Bush Essentials
started producing its legendary Body Scrub from a converted garage in
Twin Waters on the beautiful Australian Sunshine Coast. Pauline would
manufacture on Mondays and Tuesdays and then sell in the local markets.
The first outlets were five local markets in Eumundi, Nambour, Coolum
and Caloundra. The product was an instant success, not only for moisturising
and promoting healthy skin naturally but also relieving the symptoms of
dry itchy skin, cracked heels, working hands and body odour. The product
sales reflected the growing popularity of the product and the company
turned over in excesses of AUD$1 million in the first year of business.
Repeat orders from buyers, referrals and enquiries came in from all over
Australia and around the world and fuelled the companies rapid growth.
To keep up with the demand, in March 2006 Bush Essentials moved into a
new factory in Kunda Park with room for further expansion which was mainly
prompted by the first export order to the UK.In just over a year the company
growth from those humble beginnings in a converted garage has been phenomenal.
Bush Essentials now trades in over 55 markets in all states across Australia,
with casual leasing in Shopping Centres and a regular at agricultural
and health and well being shows. Bush Essentials is also sold in Sweden,
England and Scotland with plans to sell the products into all Scandinavian
Countries. The company is also in talks with distributors in Hungary,
Mexico and New Zealand, all as result of buyers visiting Australia and
loving the products.I believe the reason for our success is that I chose
to market my products in the local markets and demonstrate the product
directly onto the customer, rather just off the shelf. Customers get to
