Pauline Clarke
Pauline Clarke arrived in Australia from England in 1995 at the invitation of a prominent Sydney businessman who needed help developing and launching a company with a new product in computer technology. Ms Clarke’s extensive marketing and research experience in the UK had given her an enviable and highly-respected reputation worldwide.
After successfully launching this Sydney company, she worked as an advisor to several other large Australian companies and corporations. In 2002 she moved to the Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane and immediately initiated a research project into skincare products based on natural Australian products.
Because of her very sensitive skin, Ms Clarke had not been able to find skincare products she could use all the time. The chemicals contained in over-the-counter products had an adverse reaction on her skin, as she found they had on many other women she spoke to.
Drawing on the experience and knowledge of the pioneering women settlers in Australia, who found it necessary to counter the drying effects of the Australian sun, she and her team spent many months experimenting with the natural ingredients her research had shown to be effective and at the same time gentle for the modern woman’s skin.
And so, after a lot of research and much trial and error, Bush Essentials was born. From the initial foray selling at markets on the Sunshine Coast, Ms Clarke’s baby has grown rapidly into a company that now has established markets in all Australian states, New Zealand, Europe, South-East Asia and the United States.
Ms Clarke not only uses natural Australian ingredients in her products, she also employs Australians to distribute these products from her Sunshine Coast factory.
Bush Essentials is a genuine Australian company with real Australian origins..
